Having a pigeon that needs help can be daunting when you are unsure what to do. Even trying to guess the age of the bird can be hard if you are not experienced in raising pigeons from a young age.

I will do my best to walk you through the basics of caring for a baby pigeon until you can get it to someone who can take it on.

Wherever possible seek assistance from a local bird rescue or similar, or even a local pigeon keeper may be able to help you.

Firstly you will need to work out the age of the bird in order to be able to give it adequate care since their requirements vary depending on the age of the bird. A very young or newly hatched bird has a lot more needs that must be met in order for it to survive.
